Series: Export Winners 2010 – Doppelmayr Holding AG 29. July 2010

Since 1994 the Federal Economic Chamber and the Austrian Federal Ministry of Economy, Family and Youth have been awarding "Export prizes" to Austria's most successful export firms. This year the special "go International Award 2010" went to Doppelmayr Holding AG.  

The “go-international Award” winner for 2010 is Doppelmayr Holding AG , a company renowned far beyond Austria’s borders for its exceptional dedication and success on international markets. It therefore comes as no surprise that Doppelmayr is the world leader in quality and technology for the cable car industry. Deep insight into what customers really need and professional, precise work have secured a position at the top of the market for this outstanding Austrian company.

The group has production sites and distribution and service offices in over 33 countries worldwide, employs over 2,600 people and to date has realised around 14,000 cable car and ropeway systems for customers in over 81 countries. The group develops and builds high-performance people-moving systems for summer and winter tourist areas including spectacular ATM (automated people mover) systems (CABLE Liner) for cities, airports, shopping centres, theme parks and trade fairs. The company also offers innovative systems for transporting materials.
