The economic relations between Austria and Indonesia are developing in a very positive and dynamic way.

The Austrian exports to Indonesia were increasing in the first six months 2008 with 16,7% to a total volume of more than 106,8 Mio Euro.
Among the wide range of Austrian exports to Indonesia the delivery of electronic equipment and of machinery, for example for the plastic industry are very important sectors.
Furthermore you may find among the main Austrian export products to Indonesia deliveries of paper, pharmaceuticals and steel.

Austrian companies have also been very active for many years in contributing to projects in Indonesia, for example in the energy sector. Especially for the improvement of the Indonesian infrastructure Austrian companies can substantially assist with their technical know-how in reaching ambitious goals.

The Austrian imports from Indonesia are equally on a high level and amounted for a total value of more than 162 Mio Euro in 2007 and for a total value of almost 93,5 Mio Euro in the first six months 2008. Among the most important import goods from Indonesia are deliveries of shoes, clothing and electronics.
