UFIS-AS State-of-the-art IT Solutions at Major Airports in India 2. April 2008

 UFIS Airport Solutions (UFIS-AS) together with its partner Siemens Information Systems Limited, India (SISL) currently delivers its industry-leading airport automation solutions at 3 major airports in India – Bangalore, Hyderabad and Delhi International Airports.  

 UFIS-AS has played a crucial role in the opening of the new Rajiv Gandhi International airport at Shamsabad in Hyderabad . The new airport was officially inaugurated on March 14 and began commercial operations on March 23. In partnership with Siemens Information Systems Limited (SISL) India , UFIS-AS has successfully delivered its Airport Operational Database, Flight Information Processing System, Flight Information Display System, Information Kiosks and Apron Management System together with Systems Integration and Interfaces to standard external systems such as the ATC and SITA Telex.

Hyderabad Airport

At Delhi International Airport , the UFIS ® systems will start to come on-line in the first quarter of the year with the UFIS ® Flight Information Processing System, Airport Operational Database (AODB) and Flight Information Display System modules leading the way. For passengers this will result in more accurate and timely flight information. Apron Control Operations covering the international and domestic terminals will use UFIS ® in a new purpose-built Control Centre. A second phase will see the delivery of the UFIS ® Resource Management (RMS) module.

UFIS Airport Solutions is "on-time" in its delivery of UFIS ® to the new international airport project in Bangalore , India too. The airport is scheduled to be opened in May 2008.
