Promotion of Austrian Wines Great response to Austrian Wine Tasting event  18. October 2007

High quality and special taste of Austrian Wines was proven again at this year's winetasting on October 2.  

Guided by one of Latvias outstanding sommeliers, Mrs. Valentina Grandane, a special presentation and tasting of more than 20 Austrian wines took place on October 2 at the Grand Palace Hotel in Riga. The participants - about 40 representatives of Latvian importers and high-class restaurants as well as specialized journalists - not only got an impression of the high quality and special tastes of Austrian wines, but were also given two hours of information about the different Austrian wine growing regions with their special climate and soil, which result in very tipical wines - with the "Grüner Veltliner" and the "Zweigelt" as ost famous grapes.
